1925 Famine – A Tragedy Ignored?

Several years ago the Irish government released papers that described a disaster that befell over 750,000 people in Ireland’s West.   A number of people died as a consequence of this famine and all the evidence seems to indicate a cover up by the government.

Why cover up the crisis?

A government at the time seemed more intent on putting the previous decade of struggle behind it rather than admit an inability to address a potential national crisis.
